Becoming Anyway is a podcast about life, the stories we tell about it, and everything we are still figuring out along the way.
Kelly and Lauren are a mother and daughter from two generations whose relationship has grown into a genuine adult friendship. They talk about whatever they are actually talking about in real life, from family, careers and relationships to sports, technology, culture, travel, mistakes, memories, and the occasional thing they probably should have left off-mic.

Former global CIO/CTO, advisor, author of Becoming Anyway, lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan, and someone who has spent nearly three decades navigating technology, leadership, reinvention, and raising Lauren, which may have been the more complicated assignment.
Kelly brings the perspective of someone who has lived through a few chapters, changed her mind more than once, and is still becoming anyway.

Entrepreneur, strategist, producer, sports fan, traveler, and the person most likely to turn an idea into something real before Kelly has finished building the plan.
Lauren brings a different generation, a different perspective, and the willingness to ask Kelly the questions a normal interviewer probably would not.
She also has the advantage of knowing exactly which questions her mom would prefer she skip.
And Then There are Two of Them Together.
They know each other well enough to finish the thought, predict the answer, call the bluff, and occasionally discover they had no idea what the other person was thinking.
They are often on the same page, although how they got there can be an entirely different story.
That is where Becoming Anyway gets interesting.
And sometimes one of them was obviously right. They just may not agree on which one.
That is usually where the good stuff starts.
What are we talking about?
Honestly? It depends on the week.
Why two people can remember the same moment completely differently.
Whether AI is making us smarter or just faster.
The advice our parents gave us that we swore we'd never use.
Sports, competition, careers, relationships, travel, aging, ambition, and whatever ridiculous thing showed up in one of our feeds this week.
Some conversations matter.
Some are ridiculous.
The best ones usually manage to be both.
